A new "chapter"

Today we have experienced a very significant moment for our congregation: the election of the Superior general and her Council. This day marks the beginning of a new ‘chapter’ in our history as an Institute, full of hope, faith and commitment to the mission that the Lord has entrusted to us.

Our sisters of the General Council
Our new General Council

We have gathered in an atmosphere of prayer, discernment and fraternal communion, trusting in the action of the Holy Spirit to guide our decisions. Inspired by the Oblate charism and with hearts open to God's will, we have chosen the sisters who will lead our congregation for the next 6 years.

It is with great joy that we share the names of the chosen sisters:

  • General Superior: Sr. Katharina Ramrath, omi (Germany)

  • Vicar General: Sr. Patricia González Fernández, omi (Spain)

  • First Councilor: Sr. Kathrin Vogt omi (Germany)

  • Second Councilor: Sr. Teresa Muñoz Cerdán omi (Peru)

  • Third Councilor: Sr. María del Mar Gómez Mañas omi (España)

After the elections, we celebrated a solemn Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Aurelio Cayón Díaz, ss.cc., Episcopal Vicar for Consecrated Life in the Archdiocese of Madrid.

We deeply thank the elected sisters for accepting this service with dedication and generosity and trust that their service, guided by the Holy Spirit, will inspire and strengthen our congregation as we continue to walk together in fidelity to our charism.

living fraternity
Giving thanks for the new elected

The election of our General Superior and her Council reminds us that we are a community brought together by the love for Jesus Christ and His Church, walking together in faith and always striving to be a living testimony of God’s love.

Please join us in prayer for the sisters who have been elected. May the Lord fill them with wisdom, strength, and peace so that they may carry out this mission with joy and dedication. May Mary Immaculate, our Mother, accompany them and intercede for them at every step of this new journey.

With gratitude and hope, we begin this “new chapter”, fully trusting in God’s grace and the faithfulness of all the sisters of the Institute. We especially thank Sister Raquel Toro Gil, omi, for her many years of service in the governance of the congregation.

United in prayer.
