Our mission in Germany
Being close to the people is one of the mottos of the Oblate Charism that we strive most to live out in Germany. We want to be the welcoming face of the Church.
Our community has been present here since 2017, in the west of the country, in a rural area of the Westmünsterland (near the border with the Netherlands).

In the parish
In our pastoral work, we engage with people of all ages. We pay special attention to families, children, and young people.
Within the parish community, we are dedicated to pastoral care. Especially, we accompany families in times of grief following the loss of a loved one and support families whose children are preparing to receive their First Communion.

With families
We are active in an oblate school, as a religion teacher and in the pastoral care.
In communion with the Oblates and other laypeople, we also prepare family Masses at the Nikolauskloster, where we organize summer camps for children and young people.

With immigrants
In the immigrants, we recognize a group in especial need of closeness and hope. We work with them to help them integrate into society, whether through language teaching or providing individual guidance within Caritas.
We aim to be people they can trust and strive to create save spaces where they can also share their faith.

The garden belonging to our house is a beautiful place for meeting people. We gather there at different times of the year, for example, for Taizé or Marian prayers, the annual neighborhood festival, or parish events.
